Founded in 2012, Broadside Studios uses a proprietary 3-pt methodology of customized research, product analytics and trend forecasting to develop actionable insights that inform our clients’ design development, marketing, and sales strategies.
We don’t simply love design. We obsess over it, we breathe it, and we live for the emotional response that great design triggers from deep within us.
Still - we’re not fans of design for design’s sake. We follow the practiced principles of forecasting that ensure reason, evidence and purpose must underscore all development. We respect the foundation of strategy & foresight work - which begins with understanding that economic, cultural, and consumer shifts are the core catalysts to fundamental future trends. Yes, our output is always design direction - but the Why is just as essential as the What.

Renee Labbe | Founder, Lead Foresight Strategist
Renee’s work has spanned 5 continents and 20 years in forecasting. She began her career at the renowned trend agency Promostyl Paris, and within 10 years moved into an SVP role at the online forecasting firm Stylesight in New York (now WGSN). She has produced and presented design forecasts for brands large and small, global and regional. Among them: Toll Brothers, OldCastle, Boral, PPG, Karma Automotive, Mattel, Disney, Target, and more. Renee has been a keynote speaker at Houzz innovation webinars, John Burns Design Summits, the International Builders Show, AIA regional conferences, and more.
An avid ocean lover and perpetually obsessed with architecture, Renee spends her free time surfing and on various design projects.
Bernard Campbell | Marketing & Cultural Director
With degrees from Boston College as well as Harvard, Bernard’s professional career is loaded with accolades and accomplishments in the great realm of marketing. Webby-nominated websites, TV spots, social media successes, quotes in the New York Times, Business Week, and Fortune. But his unique gift is so much more than marketing expertise. He has an unparalleled ability to quickly dissect and define the most important and compelling aspects of consumers, culture, and design that is both succinct and actionable.

Jill Bradshaw | Insights Manager
Jill has worked in the design industry for nearly two decades with a unique understanding of both the retailer and the supplier. After working in manufacturing and sales, Jill opened the iconic I Heart store in NYC at the age of 24. In 2011, she went on to join forecasting agency Stylesight as Trend Director, providing custom forecasts & consultations for some of Americas biggest fashion & consumer products brands. Jill joined Broadside in 2018 to lead the management of our research & insights capital.
Always up for adventure, Jill enjoys taking road trips and exploring nature with her 2 year old son, Theo, whenever possible.
